David Villa: NYC’s home run of game has just started and Villa performed exactly as many of us hoped in his home opener by scoring a couple of goals and getting a couple of good chances for a third. A lot of this success could be linked with the new attacking strategy that NYC deployed last week or perhaps the need to respect the goal scoring potential that several other players have demonstrated. Reguardless of what we may think, what we know is that Villa seems to be entering a vein of form and Orlando’s defense is shaky. This is enough to make Villa my top captain pick for this round.

Cyle Larin: On the other side of the NYC v ORL game, and coming in at 3rd in the poll, is Larin. Over two games Larin has scored 2 goals and earned an assist while NYC has allowed 5 goals to be scored on them. I don’t know about you, but these sound like pretty good odds for my that the youngster could get on the score sheet again.

Lamar Neagle: Let me start by saying that I don’t think going with a differential captain is a great idea, but if you are someone who likes to go against the crowd, then my third option could be exactly what you are looking for. DC has had a rough start to 2016 but I think Colorado will offer them a chance to turn things around before their DGW. If it’s going to happen, then I believe Neagle will be the one who make it happen. His time at Seattle is littered with many examples of attacking skill, and without other big name forwards, he should be a target….plus he’s scored DC’s only goal this year so that counts for something right?
