MLSFB Player Roundup – Round 25

soccer_banner

I apologize for the short post this week. My yellow flagged laptop and flat tire really threw off the writing plans that I had for this evening. So here’s the short list for each position. I’m also sorry that this has happened several times this season. The short schedules and being a man down on the MLSFB team are the reasons for this. But, it’f you’re welling to stick it through with me for the rest of this season, I plan to bring in some new blood for 2015! But you’re not here for apologies…

Let’s break things down each position.

Keepers:

There are really only two choices this week: Bill Hamid and Jaime Penedo. With the form that defending and keepers have shown, I just can’t go for a SGW keeper. Penedo takes the top spot of this duo due to the Chivas game.

Defenders:

If you are looking for a defensive bonus point magnet, then Omar Gonzalez and Bobby Boswell are you guys. They could easily earn 4-6 bonus points and Gonzalez may even be able to rack up some goals again. If you’re looking for that cheap filler player Steve Brinbaum is a good pickup at $5.0 and he has good CBI production for bonus points. This looks to be a three defender week to me again and depending on how much money you want to splash around Chad Marshall and Nick Hagglund are my favorite picks. Marshall is on great form and could be just the team to the the wind out of Colorado’s sail. Hagglund is good for CBI production and New England has had no recent luck on the road.

Midfielders:

Every team should have 2-3 of these DGW players, Landon Donovan, Gyasi Zardes, Chris Rolfe, and Luis Silva. They are on good runs of form and should have plenty of chances over this DGW. That leaves a few spots for SGW players. This is going to come down to personal preferences. This could be the perfect time for some prep for the DGW in Round 26 so consider a Philly player if you have an extra free trade.

Forwards:

Robbie Keane and Fabian Espindola are the two easy picks, but you may also want to think about Eddie Johnson if you think DC could split time to rest players. Obafemi Martins and Dominic Dwyer are two big name players with promising games, and if you want a cheap starter, Tesho Akindele is the name you know but Justin Meram is one to keep an eye on.

Did I miss any players that should be on this list? Please leave us a comment. You can also send a message to me on Twitter @MLSFantasyBoss, or join the Live Chat in the sidebar. Keep checking back for more updates throughout the week. Good Luck!
