KFC’s MLS Fantasy Defender picks – Week 2

Defenders

There are not a lot of numbers yet to get differential numbers for defenders yet. But there are some good games coming up that I think will give good results. Keep reading to see who they are.

Chance Myers (Kansas City) vs Toronto
Price: $5.5m
Owned by: 7.2%

Kansas has several good defending options to choose from. Myers stands out fore 2 reasons, his assist from the Philadelphia game and his lower price. Myers is a good way to get representation from the Kansas back line and a game against Toronto should no be too difficult for them.

Jeff Parke (Philladelphia) vs Colorado
Price: $5.0m
Owned by: 29%

I’m sure Philadelphia would preferred a better start to the season than they had, but Kansas is a tough opening game. Fortunately, Colorado presents a better chance for Philly restart on the right foot. There are two good options from the Philadelphia defense, but I think Parke’s defensive numbers give him the advantage (Williams being the other).

Austin Berry (Chicago Fire) vs New England
Price: $5.5m
Owned by: 11.8%

Week 1 was rough fro Chicago, and I don’t think it represents the defensive performance that we can expect from Chicago for the rest of the season. New England should be a much easier team than LA and I think Chicago will use what it learned from week 1 to improve. Berry will be a key part in that game.

These are my picks, if you think there should be more names on this list, please leave a comment or come to r/FantasyMLS and comment on the post. You can also leave a message on our Facebook page. Keep checking back for more updates through the week for other positions.
