MLS Fantasy Boss Round 5 Team

You’ve read all the advice from the MLS Experts, you’ve chatted with other managers here at MLS Fantasy Boss, and you lurked around /r/FantasyMLS to get a heads up on all new developments. Now it’s time to sit back and relax and enjoy!

Last week was a great surprise for me. After fielding a team that I thought would struggle, I cracked the top 100 for scoring in Round 4. After the dust settled, I earned 85(-8) points and my rank went from 1,881 to 338. I’m hoping to continue this run of good fantasy form in Round 5 while finding a good balance with my prep for the DGW.

Keepers

One more round with Deric and then I’m considering bringing in Ousted

Defenders

Not a lot of change here. I knew I wanted to add a Vancouver defender for the DGW, but I could not decide who. I was able to afford Waston, but that would not have let me field the forward that I wanted for Round 5. I was then tempted by Kah, but I’ve finally decided that the risk of him not playing was too great. That left Beitashour as my guy. He’s a good balance of price and offensive point potential. I’m really just hoping for a clean sheet or two he lets me drop Jewsbury so I can have 4 defenders.

Midfielders

Pretty happy with my Morales sandwich right now, but not with the performance of MPG. Yes he got 5 points last round, but Ishi is much more reliable for that. I’ve also been very surprised with the continued production of Feilhaber so I decided to try to capitalize on that for his game against Philly.

Forwards

After watching Martins say he was good to go in a video on Twitter, I changed my forward plans. At first, I was going to get Perez (and Waston) and then swap him for Kamara for the DGW, but a healthy Martins vs Houston at home was just too tempting.

Captain

Once again, I don’t have the guts to #DaretoOpara (though that’s a good clean sheet chance) and I’m sticking with Jorales as my captain.
