The Galaxy will be looking to take advantage of Minnesota’s poor defence. United have conceded at least one goal in their last 10 matches, and only one team in the MLS has conceded more goals than Minnesota. Statistically selecting Ibra as your captain makes sense, as he is averaging close to 1.3 goals a game in his last seven appearances. It makes the Swede as close to a sure thing you can get when it comes to fantasy soccer.
Carlos Vela / LAFC / $10.8 Million / vs SKC (H)
LAFC have stalled in recent weeks . No win in their last four games has saw SKC overtake LAFC in the western conference. Since Carlos Vela’s return from the World Cup the forward has assisted and scored one in his last three games. LAFC’s and Vela’s performances have been steady, but short of the high levels shown at the start of the season.
Its fourth versus third tonight and LAFC will be looking to retake that third place spot form SKC. One aspect LA will be encourage by is SKC’s poor defensive record. Sporting KC have concede 14 goals in their last six games . While LAFC need a victory to halt their worrying slide in form and will need Vela to show his class against SKC.
Diego Valeri / Portland / $11.5 Million / vs Vancouver (H)
Diego Valeri is arguably the most inform midfielder in the league at the minute. Two goals and two assists in his last three games have help Portland to pick up seven points from a possible nine. The Timbers have found their goal scoring touch in recent weeks. seven goals in their last three games will worry Vancouver this round.
Vancouver have only won one of their last four games but sit comfortably mid-table in seventh. The Whitecaps have conceded at least two goals a game in the last couple of matches and with Valeri and Portland’s current hot streak. Vancouver may struggle to keep the Timbers out.
Romain Alessandrini / LA Galaxy / $10.5 Million / vs Minnesota (H)
The Frenchman has played a somewhat sporting role to main man Ibrahimovic in recent weeks. But his performances have been just as crucial. Two goals in his last three games has made Romain Alessandrini a solid captain option this round.
He also offers consistency as the midfielder hasn’t scored less than eight fantasy points since week 19 against DC. Alessandrini and co will be looking forward to facing Minnesota this week .United’s shaky defence will be an area Alessandrini can take advantage of.
