Several teams have taken a beating this week when it comes to their defenders (Thanks WCQ!) and Real Salt Lake leads that list. The loss of defenders could be a big blow to managers this week, but forwards have also left, so some teams may not be a strong on the attack. Checkout the list here!
Big 3
Aurélien Collin (NR v SKC), Brandon McDonald (DC vs CLB), and Todd Dunivant (LA vs COL).

Austin Berry (Chicago) vs Chivas
Price: $5.5m
Owned by: 11.2%
Chicago has been struggling this year, there is no denying that, and they will be without their starting Keeper for week 4. Still, Austin Berry has earned respectable numbers in the last two games, mostly to the great defensive bonus numbers he is able to get. Chivas is not an offensive power house and I think Berry has a good chance to put up good numbers again.
Jeb Brovsky (Montreal) vs New York
Price: $4.8m
Owned by: 10.8%
I struggled to find my third pick this week, but it’s hard to ignore Montreal. They are in great form and they are playing at home. Both Brovsky and Ferrari are good options, but Brovsky has similar defensive numbers and comes in at $0.2m less. That’s a bargain and he has the potential to go up in price. New York has not lot much to International duty, but they have not been in great form recently and I think Montreal could be a challenge.
Matt Hedges (Dallas) vs Real Salt Lake
Price: $5.0m
Owned by: 5.7%
Hedges has been pleasantly surprising so far this year. For the last 2 weeks he was listed as injured, and still played. Lack of clean sheets has hurt his point totals, but his defending numbers a solid. As mentioned above, Real Salt Lake has taken a big hit this week. I think they will have to focus on defense more than normal and that could be an advantage for Dallas.
Differential
Jhon Kennedy Hurtado (Seattle) vs Jan Jose
Price: $4.9m
Owned by: 4.0%
Seattle has not managed to keep a clean sheet this year, but when you look at the San Jose roster, it’s covered with little red boxes. Losses to injury, international week, and poor form have plagued San Jose at the start of this season. Hurtado’s defensive numbers are decent, he’s sub $5.0m, and has LOW ownership. If Seattle can take advantage of San Jose’s troubles, they could come out quite well.
