It’s finally time for the first captain poll of the year. Don’t forget, the transfer deadline is Saturday the 1st at 2:00pm EST so be sure to get all of your trades in and captain set by then.

Davis Villa ($11.2m – 22.4% Ownership)
With the scoring form that NYCFC has been on and Montreal’s poor record of conceding goals on the road, David Villa seems like an obvious choice for captain this week and the captain polls reflects this. If you are still confused about your captain, then this is your safest choice.
Javier Morales ($11.8m – 6.3% Ownership)
Javi has returned good fantasy points to managers in all of his last four games including one big 15 point game! Normally I’d shy away for RSL on the road, but DC is without star keeper Bill Hamid. In their last three games they have failed to keep a clean sheet and this ups to stock for Morales in my eyes and makes him an excellent differential pick for this round.
