Having trouble deciding on who to pick for your captain? Here are a few things to keep in mind. Is the team playing at home? Are there any key injuries (on either team)? Who had a good Preseason? Did Andrew Wiebe see his shadow this morning?All of these things help. Here are my top 3 choices:
1) Robbie Keane: LA is coming off of a big win and Robbie Keane was a big part of that. He’s on good form and Vancouver’s away defensive record is nothing to write home about. We all know Keane is an offensive focal point and he has a good chance for more points this week.
2) Federico Higuain: Higuain may not have come through with a goal or assist last week, but he earned 5 points (3 from Crosses and KP) and that’s pretty good for loosing 0-2. San Jose has allowed 5 home goals in 2 games, so Higuain should have options
3) Mauro Diaz: Here’s the hot player on the top in form team right now. With the form that he has been on it seems a shame to not include him on my captain list. He rounds out the bottom three because he has one of the tougher match ups this week. However, Dallas has proven that they can score goals and Diaz has been involved in many of them.
