Having trouble deciding on who to pick for your captain? Here are a few things to keep in mind. Is the team playing at home? Are there any key injuries (on either team)? Who had a good Preseason? Did Andrew Wiebe see his shadow this morning?All of these things help. Here are my top choices:
1) Clint Dempsey: We can’t count on multiple goals and assists every week, but his form is amazing right now and PHI has been struggling lately. All of these factors make Dempsey my top pick for this week.
2) Graham Zusi: I think last week will just be a blip on the Zusi’s overall form for this season. This week he’s back at home and I expect to see a return of his normal offensive production.
3) Brad Davis: Chivas will be missing their number 1 keeper for this match, and I think that is good news for Houston who has been struggling lately. Davis earned an assist right after returning from his injury and I think this game will provide him with more potential chances.
4) Bradley Wright-Phillips: Was last week a fluke or a sample of good things to come for managers who own BWP? I don’t know the answer to this question, but I do know that Dallas took a huge blow from all the cards last week and that give NY a good chance at having a successful away game against them. He’s a differential pick for sure.
