As background, remember that other than NYC, DCU, and Montreal every team in MLS played a midweek match. Orlando, Dallas, Colorado, Seattle and Real Salt Lake played 120 minutes so players like Diaz and Plata may be getting rotated this weekend.
[break]Steres (LAG)-supposedly hurt in warmups for last weekend’s match but any specifics on the injury other than lower right left injury haven’t been made available yet. He wasn’t on the injury report at the time of publication, so I would make sure I have backup prepared for him.
- Michael Bradley (TOR)-Out 6 weeks with a knee sprain
- Clint Irwin (TOR)-Out 6 weeks
- Will Johnson (TOR)-Out 6 weeks with a fracture to the tibial plateau. And yes, the fact that Toronto gave out an identical 6 week timeline for all of its injured players, which also matches Altidore’s timeline, makes me skeptical. Regardless, Toronto will be very shorthanded well past Week 18.
- Bernardez (SJ)-OUT with ankle injury
- Pedro Morales (VAN)-After a possible injury last weekend, played the full match midweek, so should be good to go injury wise.
- Giles Barnes (HOU)-Wasn’t in the 18 last week due to Achilles tendinopathy but the Houston folks seem confident he’ll play Saturday.
- Coelho (SKC)-Vermes said he looked good in partial practice and is a weekend decision, but if he’s not fully practicing yet I’m thinking he’s out.
- Myers (SKC)-Hamstring strain
- CJ Sapong (PHI)-still out with that ankle injury, which has lingered much longer than the initial reports suggested.
- Fabian Herbers (PHI)-Out with a hamstring strain
- LeToux (PHI)-out with a concussion
- Gilberto (CHI)-Contract mutually terminated
- Winter (ORL)-Contract mutually terminated
- Kwarsey (POR)-Nearing a return, meaning Gleeson’s time is short-lived.
- Asprilla (POR)-Season long loan out.
- Tim Howard (COL)-Not hurt, but’s officially on the roster for Colorado, so McMath’s great run has likely come to an end.
- Dillon (COL)-Left the match at 17 minutes with an injury
- Jordan Allen (RSL)-tweaked his hamstring in Tuesday’s match; likely to be kept out of Friday’s match as a result.
- Baah (RBNY)-out for Sunday.
- SWP (RBNY)-could be available Sunday.
