Player Positional Rankings: MLS Fantasy Round 14

The first massive DGW is in the books. Did you survive? If it was your first DGW and you’re still with us after the full blown chaos, then congratulations. You’re officially an FMLS sicko. Welcome to the club! MLS is an impossible league to predict, and DGW’s give you two opportunities to get things wrong. And hoo boy, did we get some things wrong. Time to be a goldfish and move on to the next round.

Round 14 has a lot of good matchups, but several teams had a midweek match for US Open Cup. Make sure to keep a close eye on lineup drops to avoid any rotation surprises, not to mention the myriad injuries and knocks picked up last round.

There is one big question that needs to be addressed this round: Miami? Or more specifically: Messi? The team as a whole is struggling, and while Messi is still putting up GOAT-level attacking bonus points, the results aren’t what we’d expect or want. Are we justified in continuing to place our faith in him? Can he get it done against a potentially tired and rotated Philly?

As always, the answer is a giant shrug emoji. Roll the dice, here we go again.

Special Note: With the team budgets being what they are at this point in the season, we decided to eliminate the Value lists and roll those players into the main lists at their positions. This will give you a better idea of where we feel these players should be ranked. If you still need budget players, best thing to do is watch lineups for those players, and decide accordingly.
