Playtime Analysis – 2016 Round 12

Playtime Analysis is a weekly overview offering useful tips for the coming weeks about players that aren’t going to be getting their usual time on the pitch.  Whether it be value subs, injured stars, or international absences, you can find it here in Playtime Analysis.

Johnson $4.8 CHI: Sean Johnson made his season debut for the Fire in the DGW and managed a shutout in the second game.  This is likely the end of the line for Lampson and a $0.9 price increase to keep a Chicago keeper.  With other cheap options nearing the end of their runs, it might be time to pick a premium keeper.

Marquez $6.3 PHI: Fabinho and Rosenberry are the popular picks so far from the Union defense,  but Marquez has been getting both the minutes and the points needed to be a solid differential through round 15.

Diaz $10.9 DAL: It’s not often a premium player gets featured in Playtime Analysis, but this conundrum deserves a review.  Diaz was one of the best midfielders before getting injured and has since been hit and miss. Sure a 19 point DGW was awesome for his owners, he’s only gone 90 minutes twice since his return from injury and recently sat out a week.  Being on a team playing in round 13 makes him an obvious inclusion, the questions about his playing time leave enough doubt to be worrisome.  Watch this one, but he’s not listed as injured and a definite must have for round 13.

Wondolowski $10.8 SJ: Wondo being called up may be a surprise to some, but his potential replacements are the real talking point here.  With Amarikwa still injured, Thompson, Barrett, or Jahn could all get the nod.  Any of the three are capable of taking over in Wondo’s absence at a price point that makes them hard to ignore.  Barrett is the most expensive at $6.4.  This weekend should be telling of who will likely play in Round 13.
