Playtime Analysis – 2016 Round 2

Playtime Analysis - 2016 Round 2

Playtime Analysis is a weekly overview offering useful tips for the coming weeks about players that aren’t going to be getting their usual time on the pitch.  Whether it be value subs, injured stars, or international absences, you can find it here in Playtime Analysis.

Worra $4.1 DC: With Hamid and Dykstra out with injuries, Worra is set to start regularly. At $4.1 he’s the steal at GK. Even a subpar performance at a savings of $1.5-2 is a fantastic value. Charlie Horton is the fourth GK on the roster and comes in at $4.5. It’s doubtful that he takes the starting role, but would still be a value pick if he manages it.

Steres $5.2 LA: It looks like Steres is the go to guy in the back while Leonard and Larentowicz are nursing injuries. At the price and production, he’s hard to ignore. He’s currently tied for the 4th highest score among all defenders at comes in at $2.0 less. A definite candidate for an early value pickup.

Winter $7.0 ORL: With Kaka and Rivas still injured and the early antics of Ceren, Winter has gotten a fair amount of early playing time and he has shown his value. With a Friday game he’s a prime candidate as the first sub in a switcheroo and a last minute addition to a roster if he retains his position in the starting XI.

Oduro $7.7 MTL: I said it last week and I’ll say it again. Oduro is on right now with a hot team and priced to move. Sure Drogba may be available to play in Dallas, but benching Oduro doesn’t seem like the smartest move considering his goals in each of the first two games. Ontivero hasn’t been brilliant on the right wing either, which means that even if Drogba starts up top, Oduro has a legitimate place in the starting XI. As long as Piatti is pulling the strings, goals will flow in Montreal.
