2018 Round 32 Captain’s conundrum

Round 32 in the MLS gets underway today, So I have taken a look at the best options to make your Fantasy captain this week. Picking the right captain this week , could see you claw back points on the leaders of your league , or even extend the gap at the top. Here’s my top four picks for this week.

Sebastian Giovinco / $14 Million / vs Vancouver

The forward has been Mr Consistent in recent months , more recently Sebastian Giovinco has four goals and three assists for Toronto in his last five games. While Vancouver have lost their last three games and have conceded a total of seven goals during this time. Toronto have been exceptional at home in recent weeks they have scored nine goals in their last two home games.

Josef Martinez / $13.1 Million / vs New England

Josef Martinez seems to be in with a shout of being your captain most weeks , and this round is no exception. 30 goals for the season already for the forward , but no goals in his last two games will be something Martinez is not looking to continue. While New England give up four goals against Toronto last round and two against Chicago two weeks ago. So it’s a perfect opportunity for Martinez to end goalless spell.

Miguel Almiron / $12.5 Million / vs New England

Miguel Almiron has had a great season this year for Atlanta and has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in January. Three goals and three assists in his last four games shows Almiron is in great form and against a New England side struggling to keep clean sheets , Almiron may be worth captaining.

Luciano Acosta / $12 Million / vs Chicago

One of the most inform players in the league in recent weeks . He has averaged 15.3 points in his last three games for DC. With many choosing to select the likes of Martinez and Almiron as the captain this week , Acosta may be worth selecting as a less captained alternative.
