2018 Round 35 Captain’s conundrum

Round 35 in the MLS gets underway today, So I have taken a look at the best options to make your Fantasy captain this week. Picking the right captain this week , could see you claw back points on the leaders of your league , or even extend the gap at the top. Here’s my top picks for this week.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic / LA Galaxy / $14.6 Million / vs Houston

Its decision day for LA Galaxy this round against Houston, and the time for the big players to step up. We saw Wayne Rooney deliver for DC at a crucial time last round and the Galaxy will be hoping their ex Manchester United man will deliver for them today.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has five goals in his last six games for the galaxy. He has only failed to hit the back of the net once since the double game week in round 25. Opponents SKC secured their play off spot weeks ago and sit pretty at the top of the Western Conference. Back to back victory’s in the last two rounds for SKC , suggest Sporting KC want to hit the play offs in good form and full of confidence. However one clean sheet in five games for SKC is great ,will encourage LA and Zlatan will need no extra encouragement to turn up for Galaxy biggest game of the season.

Nicolás Lodeiro / Seattle / $15.3 Million / vs SJE

One goal and six assists in his last three appearances for Seattle shows the midfielder is in good form heading in to the conclusion of the regular season. His match up against a bottom of the table SJE side is perfect, however both sides focus may just be on future rather than the present this round . San Jose will be looking towards next year after a terrible season and Seattle will be wanting to get in to the play offs with their key players fresh for the post season, if a bye can not be achieved.
Plus three goals in 10 appearances for Loderio isn’t exactly prolific, however against a SJE side who have conceded 69 goals this season . Loderio may just want to put on a show for the home fans, Sending Seattle into the play offs with a confidence boost.

Ignacio Piatti / Montreal / $12.3 Million / NEW England

A similar challenge to the one LA Galaxy face this round . Montreal has a must win game against New England to keep their play off dreams alive.Similar to the Galaxy , Montreal have a top class player who year on year produces for the Canadian side.
Ignacio Piatti has scored three goals in his last two appearances for Montreal . His double last round will see him head in to todays game full of condense. Plus against a side in New England who have nothing to play for , and have only one of their last six matches . Its looks a great chance for Piatti and Montreal to win the game.

Raul Ruidiaz / Seattle / $10.7 Million / vs SJE

Eight goals in thirteen appearances isn’t a bad way to introduce yourself to the Seattle fans. Plus coming off the back of his goal against Houston away from home . To this round be facing an SJE who have conceded the most goals in the Western Conference it looks a perfect opportunity for Raudiaz to continue his good ratio and even hit double figures for goals in the last game of the regular season.
