Every week, we’ll go over our suggestions from last week, and determine if they were a good or bad pick based on position and points. To describe in detail the ranking system, here is the metric: bust = 3 or fewer points (or did not play), average = 4-5 points, good = 6-8 points, great = 9+ points. Double gameweeks (DGWs) are scored as follows: bust = 6 or fewer points (or not starting/on the bench), average = 7-9 points, good = 10-12 points and great = 13+ points. Players not available for selection are disregarded and not counted as either a positive or a negative in the article.
Week 10 Results:
Matt:
- Dagur Thorhallsson – Bust (1 point)
- Federico Bernardeschi – Bust (1 point)
- Kevin Kelsey – Good (7 points)
Ranch:

Matt Results: 2 Great, 6 Good, 7 Average, 12 Bust
Ranch Results: 5 Great, 10 Good, 4 Average, 9 Bust
2025 Full Season Results: 7 Great, 16 Good, 11 Average, 21 Busts (62%)
Welcome back to diffeRANCHals! We are now about 1/3 of the way through the season and have a solid 61% non-bust pick rate. For anybody questioning if differentials are worth taking, that is a good indicator that there are some good options every week if there is enough research done. This week is SPECIAL EDITION WEEK! We will be trying to convince you to take a player in 50 words or less. We also have a special guest this week, Overall Rank 6, Meg! Let’s get into it!
Ranch: Brayan Ceballos, $7.5m (Defender – New England)
New England is on a 3 game streak of clean sheets. Toronto has not scored at home in 3 straight games. New England has only allowed 3 goals in 4 away games. Ceballos is a center back that gets passing bps and almost scored 2 weeks ago.
Matt: Alex Freeman, $7.8m (Defender – Orlando)
Orlando has been surprisingly solid defensively and while Thor busted last week because he didn’t start, I’m dipping right back into the Orlando backline with Alex Freeman who has not only become a solid part of that XI, but he’s also quite the attacking threat.
Meg: Peyton Miller, $6.1m (Defender – New England)
Miller, sneaky defensive pick, offers attacking potential while playing out of position. Facing Toronto’s scoring struggles and The Revs’ clean sheet streak. With an early game time, Miller becomes a solid bench play.
Ranch: Antony, $10.1m (Midfielder – Portland)
All that I need to say is that Portland is playing against San Jose this week. Portland also has scored 3+ goals in 5 of their last 6 games. That should be enough to convince you to take Antony.
Meg: Sebastian Berhalter, $8m (Midfielder – Vancouver)
Vancouver’s attack is thriving, and their home match against RSL looks promising for goals. Berhalter is in top form, scoring after halftime last week and shining in CCC. He should play a key role in the attack, especially with RSL’s road defensive vulnerabilities.
Matt: Daniel Salloi, $7.80m (Midfielder – Sporting Kansas City)
The Galaxy continues to be awful and SKC can easily put a few by them. It might be hard to pick which Sporting player will do it, but Salloi provides sneaky way into that attack alone or a great double up with Joveljic.
Meg: Rafael Navarro, $9.9m (Forward – Colorado)
DC United is struggling defensively, conceding over two goals per match. Navarro, seems to be actively involved in the attack and linking well with Mihailovic. Navarro has strong potential for goal involvement with this Rapids team, which seems to consistently find the back of the net.
Ranch: Luis Muriel, $9.7m (Forward – Orlando)
They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The first time he did well, 2nd time he was a bust. This time, I am expecting a 9+ score. Insanity, right? Check Chicago’s game last week for confirmation.
Matt: Danny Musovski, $5.9m (Forward – Seattle)
Probably a homer pick, but with Morris continuing to hurt his hamstring, Musovski keeps on scoring. And what better place to keep that streak going than Lumen Field against a struggling STL.
