With hope, we will all soon be painstakingly reviewing information from 2014 so we can make the perfect team for the start of the 2015 Fantasy MLS season. It’s been well documented that teams perform better at home, so I believe that a portion of this early planning should be devoted to identifying which teams pair the best with each other to help maximize Home & Away rotations.
To help do this, I have created the chart below that shows the Home & Away rotations for Weeks 1-18. I stopped at week 18 because that is when the Gold Cup starts and I’d be surprised if there was not a free Wildcard at that time. Also, who really needs to plan that far ahead!?
If you’re new to Fantasy, this I’ll also say that I find Home & Away rotations most helpful with Keepers and Defenders. If you’d like to see a longer explanation, take a look at this short write up at /r/FantasuMLS.
Dashdar,
What do the numbers after the hyphens mean? For example, the “-1” in 12-1 for CHI/COL.
Those are the number of times both teams would have a bye week. So if you had a Keeper from Chicago and New England, there would be one round where both of your keepers would be on a Bye and you would need to make a trade to fill a full team.
Gotcha. Thanks!
