It’ll be short and sweet for forwards this week. Many teams either have better midfield scorers or just mediocre forwards. You can really boil this down to about four options. After that, it just comes down to formation.
Forwards
Two of our forward picks come from the early game this week: Jack McInerney and Federico Higuaín. Jack McInerney is the highest scoring forward in the league right now, unfortunately, Philly have been scoring more goals when they are on the road. This tips the odds a bit toward our other pick Federico Higuaín because Columbus has also been scoring well on the road. Higuain has also been racking up some points the past few weeks, and this is another chance here. The last meeting between these two teams ended in a 1-1 draw, so I’m sure everyone will be more motivated than usual for this match. In the end, they are both good options and we expect this to be a good game.
Just like the rest of our articles, we’re going to highlight a New England player. When it comes to forwards, Diego Fagundez is the obvious pick. He’s been coming on strong these past few weeks, and we can only hope that he is not at the end of his streak. Since New England is playing DC, it again looks promising that he will be involved in goals. Another good option WAS Seattle’s Obafemi Martins, but he got an undeserved red card last week. Keep an eye on him though, if the card gets overturned, he’s be a good player to have, if not, he’s just dead weight.
Finally, if you’re looking for a differential player, I’m sorry, I just don’t’ like many of the options this week. Joao Plata…maybe, especially if LA plays like they did last week, but it’s not a risk I would take.
