KFC’s MLS Fantasy Captain picks – Week 13

captain-MLSNow that Zusi has fallen from the place of “golden captain” I actually found picking one a bit more fun this week. Yeah, perhaps that crazy, but it was like a flood gate of options were opened up and I think we have a few good options.

Keep reading to see who our picks are.

Options

  • Landon Donovan
The big point getter from last week. It was a big relief for many to see him not get a call to the USMNT. With Keane still around, there is always a chance for more points.
  • Robbie Keane
With the connections that Landon and Keance were making last week, it’s hard to not have him on this list too, and for similar reasons.
  • Thierry Henry
A little hit or miss, but with Columbus suffering from some defensive losses, this could be a good chance for him to shine for a home crowd. HE did not play at NE so he has 2 goals in 2 games.
  • Javier Morales
I can’t figure out how Morales only got 1 assist in the thumping they gave Chivas last week, but he’s been playing well the last few games and, well, Chicago.
  • Will Johnson
A little hit and miss after scoring his two PKs, but he’s grabbed a goal in the last two games and DC is not exactly known for winning. He’s got as good a shot as any.
  • Rodney Wallace
He’ll be leaving soon, but the current DC form makes a goal from Wallace seem possible and a nice bonus from a clean sheet.
  • Graham Zusi
Still good enough to make our list, Zusi is in for a hard game against Houston. He got some good points last week from bonus points, but goals are always nice. Collin may be the better SKC choice this week.

Top 3

  • Javier Morales
His form, his matchup, and a home game make him out top choice this week.
  • Landon Donovan
You have to respect the connect he and Keane have, but I think a lot of those points came from a HUGE breakdown in the Philly defense last week. Seattle should be stronger.
  • Thierry Henry
I’m still unsure about Henry, but this pick is more about the Columbus defensive problems this week. Henry is always hungry to score so he has a good chance to capitalize.

Runner-up

  • Rodney Wallace
Wallace is a nice little differential pick this week, especially is DC stay with their current form.

So who do you think is a must have? Vote now and let everyone know.
