MLS Fantasy Boss Round 5 Captain

It’s finally time for the first captain poll of the year. Don’t forget, the transfer deadline is Friday the 3rd at 7:00pm EST so be sure to get all of your trades in and captain set by then.

Javier Morales: There were a lot of contenders for my top captain pick this week, but the current form of Jorales paired against the defensive struggles of San Jose allowed him to edge out all of the rest. Want some numbers? Jorales has a goal and two assists in his last two games and San Jose has allowed six goals in four games.

Jozy Altidore: With Chicago bouncing around at the bottom of the table, I have little faith in them keeping a clean sheet this round. Altidore, on the other hand, is free off a good performance with the USMNT. I think he’ll use this confidence and excellent connection with Giovinco to breakdown the Chicago defense and add another goal or two to his total.

Benny Feilhaber: One of the most surprising players, for me, this season is Feilhaber. He’s shattered the stereotypical expectations of a defensive mid and has continued to step up while Zusi is less than 100%. He’s been a driving force in the SKC offense, and I don’t see why that won’t continue against a struggling Philadelphia team.

Long Shot

Ike Opara: Did you #DaretoOpara last round? Can he really have two game with such success? Well, I don’t think we’ll see another goal, but a clean sheet is not out of the question for SKC and that means more big bonus points for everyone’s favorite defender.
