New England Revolution 2021 Fantasy Preview

Atlanta 2020 Preview

Previous Year Recap

New England’s 2020 season was a mixed bag in terms of results. They played most of the season without Carles Gil and still managed to make the playoffs. Only three teams in the Eastern Conference posted better goals allowed numbers than the Revolution.

Fantasy Players to Watch

Goalkeeper: Matt Turner has proven time and again he is one of the better shot stoppers in MLS and can be a weekly option when his defenders are on point.

Defenders: New England has a defense that can be counted on with moderately priced players across the line. Andrew Farrell is the workhorse that will snag bonus points. Henry Kessler looks to be coming on strong and both Brandon Bye and DeJaun Jones snag attacking bonus points when they can roam forward.

Midfielders: Carles Gil ha all the potential to be the 2021 MLS MVP in he stays healthy. The team around him is only getting stronger and he’ll have plenty of options work with as he directs this offense. With Gil on the field, the goals should come.

Forwards: This conversation could begin and end with Gustavo Bou, a forward that takes corners and racks up the bonus points, but it does not. Adam Buksa  has stepped up in a big way is a cheaper alternative to get coverage from the New England attack without sacrificing point potential.

Fantasy Expectations

The Revolution are a team where you can easily go three deep. Doubling up on attack or defense will depend on their opponent, but it would be unwise to ignore them. With Bruce Arena at the helm, the sky is the limit with this squad and the heavy hitters should be on the short list to win MLS Awards at the end of the season.
