Sebastian Giovinco: This hardly needs an explanation right? Overwhelmingly the number 1 pick this week on both my list and in the poll. Gio is already showing his quality be being involved in both of Toronto’s goals last week and racking up some bonus points. This week, he’s up against a NYCFC that is still lacking a defensive spark.

David Villa: I break away from the poll on my second pick bu going with Villa and it’s a combination of two reasons. First, NYCFC is starting the first in a series of home games and it’s proven that teams play better at home. I think this will be a much better environment for Villa to open his scoring. Second, now that NYCFC has shown they have other players who can score, the tactic of “team defend Villa” my not be as viable and this will provide him more chances.

Kei Kamara: And coming in at a distant third is Kamara. He did not score a goal last week, but his 5 shots show that it was not from lack of trying. With Philly still attempting to build a solid defensive unit, there is a good change that Kamara could get a goal or two in this game.
