Fantasy MLS Captain Rankings: Round 11

Welcome back! Fantasy MLS captain rankings for round 11 are here after pretty standard gameweek with no surprises or big upsets. Round 11 brings another exciting gameweek with some strong attacking candidates for captaincy. Here are our rankings:

1) Alejandro Pozuelo (Vs Red Bull New York, Vs Atlanta United)

His consistency and form makes him an easy recommendation this week. Both the games at home helps as well. Even though his price tag at 15.9M might seem intimidating, it is understandable. I believe this is the highest value a player has ever had in the game.

2) Christian Pavon (Vs San Jose Earthquakes, Vs Vancouver Whitecaps)

LA Galaxy got a week long rest and now they play the two worst defenses in the league in the same week? As good as Pavon is he should capitalize on that.

3) Pedro Santos (@FC Cincinnati, Vs New York City FC)

I believe that Santos is a safe captain pick this week with his bonus points production and a good chance to be involved in goals. Cincinnati have lost their last 4 so you would except some Columbus goals there.

4) Diego Valeri (@Real Salt Lake, Vs Los Angeles Football Club)

The Timbers have been very strong offensively this season and Valeri could’ve ranked higher if it was not for rotation risk.

5) Emmanuel Reynoso (Vs Chicago Fire, Vs Houston Dynamo)

He is consistently been one of the most dangerous players for Minnesota along with Kevin Molino and unlike Molino he doesn’t have a problem with minutes. So you can count on him playing over 120 points this week.

  1. Um, Seattle’s Lodeiro has a value of 16.7M — so I guess Pozuelo isn’t at a record high (though I’m still naming Pozuelo captain, since Lodeiro only has one game this week…).
