KFC’s MLS Fantasy Forwards picks – Week 2

Forwards

A few of the big names let people down last week. Week 2 will be a chance for redemption for some and to add to their point totals for others. Keep reading and see who stands out to us.

Claudio Bieler (Kansas City) vs Toronto
Price: $9.0m
Owned by: 2.9%

Kansas City players have made all my other lists, and this is no different. They looked good in Week one and Toronto did not. Bieler was able to grab one goal against a more difficult Philadelphia team and I expect Toronto’s back line will not challenge Bieler much.

Chris Wondolowski (San Jose) vs New York
Price: $10.5m
Owned by: 38.3%

I’m sure that Chris Wondolowski was a name that was preceded by many profanities last week. San Jose is suffering from some injuries, but Wondo was still able to get the ball and had chances. I debated a lot about this choice but with 8 shots last week, and going up against a shaky New York defense, I think Wondo will have another chance to start his run for another golden boot.

Kenny Cooper (FC Dallas) vs Chivas
Price: $9.5m
Owned by: 8.6%

I’m going to give Cooper one more chance to make it back into my good graces. Colorado was a bit more difficult for them than I thought. Still, I thought Cooper had some good moments that showed promise. If he’s able to turn those moments into goals, Chivas will likely be looking at another loss.

These are my picks, if you think there should be more names on this list, please leave a comment or come to r/FantasyMLS and comment on the post. You can also leave a message on our Facebook page. Keep checking back for more updates through the week for other positions.
